The opening to a mole cricket burrow. The diameter of the burrow was slightly over
one-half inch.  The mole cricket is slightly bigger than a common cricket.
It is a nocturnal insect with  powerful digging claws for burrowing. It feeds on roots
that are just below ground surface. The mole cricket  never came out of the burrow.
