Sunrise and sunset
Light and dark / Hot and cold
Optimism and gloom / Positive and negative
The words convey the same images
like a barometer
reflects the changing climate
Such are the range of emotions
that radiate/emanate
from the face of
someone unemployed
Sure, the visage
can mask one's true feelings
Yet, the inner soul does not lie
There is a fine line
between hope and hopelessness
What's really on the line
is more than just a job...
it's your self-esteem
|
It's easy to say
it's only a matter of time
before you are hired
but time seems like an eternity
when you're waiting for the would-be boss
to make up his mind
...Okay, that job offer didn't materialize
Onward to the next opportunity
to sway the boss to your side
Acceptance / Rejection
What does your barometer show?
Meanwhile there's always
that resume
that can stand some hawk-eyed scrutiny.
