This is Mr. Brown the original owner of the back forty. He was a great farmer
and many said to him "You are doing a great job Brownie". He worked the land
with  four mules. One was Blanco, a second was Pietro (for obvious reasons),
then there was Julia a frisky quasi-female. She was the daughter of a donkey and a mare.
The fourth mule was so low on the totem pole, that it did not have a name. Mr. Brown
never really wanted a tractor, especially the ones with the iron wheels, but things changed.
Back in the fifties he was no longer able to work  the land using mules so he sold
the mules. Three days later they were returned. Seemed Mr. Brown was the only
person that could handle them, especially Julia the frisky one. Eventually another
buyer got the mules. Next he bought a small tractor  but was unable  to get used to
the tractor, so it fell on the shoulders of his 12 year old son to operate the tractor.
